Project Description:
Within the LVTIP study limits that extended from the SR 981/SR 819 intersection to SR 981 at the Arnold Palmer Airport, the 2017 study identified three separate projects (SR 981-Q20, SR 981-V20, and SR 981-Y10). SR 981, Section V20 is approximately 3.5 miles long and begins north of the SR 981 and SR 2021 (Kecksburg Road)/Mt. Pleasant Road intersection (Norvelt intersection) in Mount Pleasant Township. From just north of the Norvelt intersection, the project area extends generally along SR 2023 to the intersection with SR 130 in Unity Township. Section V20 primarily follows existing SR 2023 with some offline shifts to improve the roadway.
